Body Image Support

“The way we think and feel about our bodies affects our health and wellbeing, social relationships and how we show up in the wider world” Molly Forbes

“Body Image” is a term that describes how you FEEL and THINK about your body.

An Australian National survey found that more than 1 in 3 Australians are unhappy with the way they look

The Parents Village is passionate about supporting you to experience, higher self esteem, self-acceptance and create a healthy outlook and behaviours in regards to your body image and beyond. Through your work together you will explore themes such as:

  • The fear and shame associated with of not feeling “enough”

  • Exploring your inner critic

  • Looking at imprints from childhood and beyond

  • Working with triggers that having children of your own bring up about your own body image and theirs

  • How body image affects intimacy, relationships and your parenting

  • How to eat intuitively and feed your kids in a way that helps them to develop a positive relationship with food and their bodies.

  • learning about diet culture and '“fatphobia'“ and the societal impacts on body image

You have the power to change the way you see, think and feel about how you look.
